Region of Tuscany
Hardly any other region represents the unique cultural and culinary treasures of Italy like Tuscany. On the rolling hills between the Apennine mountain range and the Mediterranean Sea, vines are cultivated on around 60,000 hectares. The most important grape in the region is Sangiovese. The Sangiovese grape is the basis of many world-famous wines such as Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Brunello di Montalcino.
