The Valencia wine region is located around the Spanish city of the same name on the Mediterranean coast. In the region, vines are grown on an area of ​​approx. 55,000 hectares at different altitudes and climatic conditions. While primarily sweet liqueur wine was produced in Valencia in the past, dry wines now dominate the wine-growing region. While the regional red wines are mainly made from the Monastrell and Garnacha grape varieties, the white wines are traditionally made from the native Merseguera grape variety.
