Domaine Alain Burguet is a family-run winery in Gevrey-Chambertin, known for its powerful, terroir-driven Pinot Noirs with distinct structure and finesse. Founded in the 1970s by Alain Burguet, the estate is now run by his sons, Jean-Luc and Eric. The vineyards are cultivated according to biodynamic principles with great respect for the terroir, which is reflected in the precise, expressive wines.

The domaine owns approximately ten hectares of vineyards, mainly in Gevrey-Chambertin, with old vines, many of which are over 70 years old. Particularly well-known are the Mes Favorites Vieilles Vignes vineyards, which come from the best plots of Gevrey-Chambertin and are prized for their depth and complexity, and the Chambertin Grand Cru, a powerful, masculine wine with enormous aging potential.

Winemaking follows a purist philosophy of minimal intervention. Harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand with rigorous selection, followed by a cool maceration period to emphasize the fruit. Fermentation takes place with natural yeasts, mostly with destemmed grapes, to ensure a fine tannin structure. Aging takes place in French oak barrels with a moderate proportion of new oak, which varies between 30 and 50% depending on the wine.

Alain Burguet's wines are characterized by deep, dark fruit, notes of black cherries, spices, and earthy nuances. The texture is dense, with fine, well-integrated tannins and a fresh, invigorating acidity. While they often appear powerful and reserved in their youth, they develop a fascinating elegance and complexity with age. Great vintages benefit from at least 10–15 years of bottle aging. Domaine Alain Burguet stands for structured, long-lasting Pinot Noir that precisely reflects the terroir of Gevrey-Chambertin.
