Domaine de Chevalier

Domaine de Chevalier is a renowned winery in the Bordeaux region, specifically in Pessac-Léognan. The estate is located southwest of Bordeaux in the commune of Léognan. The vineyards cover approximately 80 hectares and are planted on gravelly soils known for their drainage properties.

The winery is dedicated to the cultivation of both red and white wines. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot dominate the red wines, while Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon are the main white wines. The grape varieties are carefully selected to ensure the best grapes for winemaking.

Domaine de Chevalier places great emphasis on craftsmanship and traditional winemaking techniques. The grapes are harvested by hand to ensure a selective harvest. The red wines undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in French oak barrels. The white wines are fermented on their lees and also age in oak barrels, with some of the barrels being periodically stirred to improve texture.
