Located in Sonoma County, California, Alexander Valley stretches along the Russian River. In the 15 km long and two to five km wide valley, wine is grown on a vineyard area of ​​just over 5,000 hectares. By far the most important grape variety in the Alexander Valley is Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition, the red grapes Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Zinfandel are also frequently found. White wines hardly play a role in the valley.
