Parker about Tignanello Double Magnum 2015

The 2015 Tignanello is a wine that opens, like a fully blossomed rose, right in front of you. This vintage is immediately accessible, generous and opulent. The wine will surely flesh out and gain focus with more bottle age, but one of the best qualities of this vintage is just how beautiful the wine tastes straight out of the gate. The fruit is beautifully ripe with fresh blackberry and cherry nuances, spice, leather, sweet tobacco and smoke. Up until this vintage, the various blending components that make up Tignanello were vinified in separate lots. Starting with 2015, the wine is blended sooner in order to achieve better overall integration. The entire Tignanello estate counts 130 hectares of vines, but the single-vineyard "Tignanello" that makes this wine is 57 hectares. Some 340,000 bottles were produced.

Produktbeschreibung

Tignanello Double Magnum 2015

Marchesi Antinori is a prestigious Italian winery with a long history and tradition in winemaking. Founded in 1385, the winery has since earned an excellent reputation for producing high-quality wines.

One of Marchesi Antinori's outstanding wines is the Tignanello 2015. This wine comes from Tuscany and is classified as a "Super Tuscan" because it contains both native and international grape varieties.

The 2015 Tignanello presents itself in a deep ruby red color, reflecting its concentration and structure. On the nose, it unfolds a complex spectrum of aromas characterized by ripe dark fruits such as black cherries and blackberries. There are also nuances of spice, tobacco, and dark chocolate.

On the palate, the 2015 Tignanello is powerful yet elegant. It possesses an impressive structure with silky tannins and well-integrated acidity. The dark fruit aromas continue, accompanied by notes of roasted coffee, vanilla, and a subtle mineral note.

This wine harmoniously combines the characteristics of the grape varieties used. It consists primarily of Sangiovese grapes, complemented by a portion of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which add additional complexity and depth.

The 2015 Tignanello is a full-bodied and long-lasting wine with remarkable aging potential. It can be enjoyed young to experience its fruitiness and vibrancy, or aged for years to further develop its aromas and gain complexity.

Overall, the 2015 Tignanello is an excellent wine that reflects the quality and expertise of Marchesi Antinori. It embodies the elegance and finesse of Tuscan wines and offers an unforgettable tasting experience for discerning wine connoisseurs.
