Scharzhofberger Pergentsknopp Riesling Großes Gewächs Doppelmagnum 2018

The 2018 Scharzhofberger Pergentsknopp Riesling Großes Gewächs comes from one of Germany's finest single vineyards, the Scharzhofberger. This site is characterized by steep slate slopes and a unique terroir that offers ideal conditions for growing Riesling grapes.
In the glass, the Van Volxem Scharzhofberger Pergentsknopp Riesling Großes Gewächs 2018 presents a pale, straw yellow color with green reflections. This vibrant color reflects the wine's freshness and vitality.
On the nose, the wine unfolds a complex bouquet of ripe citrus fruits such as lime and grapefruit, accompanied by aromas of peaches, green apples, and a hint of white flowers. The mineral notes of the slate lend the wine additional depth and complexity.
On the palate, the Scharzhofberger Pergentsknopp Riesling Großes Gewächs 2018 presents itself dry and precise. The fresh citrus aromas continue, accompanied by a lively acidity that lends the wine a refreshing structure. The balance between fruit and acidity is excellent, and the wine displays remarkable length on the finish.
This Riesling has great aging potential and will gain complexity with age. It can be enjoyed now to experience its vibrant and fresh flavors, or aged for several years to allow for further development and expression.
The Van Volxem Scharzhofberger Pergentsknopp Riesling Großes Gewächs 2018 is an exceptional wine that makes an excellent accompaniment to a variety of dishes. It pairs well with seafood, fish, white meat, and Asian cuisine. This Riesling embodies the elegance, finesse, and unique minerality of Mosel wines and will delight wine lovers with its quality and refinement.
