Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Kabinett 2023

The Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Kabinett 2023 from Joh. Jos. Prüm presents itself with a brilliant, pale golden color and youthful reflections. The nose unfolds a delicate yet complex bouquet with notes of white peach, green apple, lime zest, and a hint of white blossom, underscored by the typical, subtle slate minerality that makes Prüm wines so distinctive. On the palate, the wine presents a playful lightness, an impressive balance of juicy fruit, vibrant acidity, and fine, natural residual sweetness. The clear, precise structure is supported by an elegant freshness, while the fruit aromas unfold with hints of mirabelle plum, quince, and a touch of herbal spice. The finish is long, stimulating, and characterized by the typical lightness and finesse of a great Kabinett Riesling, with a fine slate note and lively acidity providing sustained tension. A classic, timeless Mosel Riesling that will show its enormous potential both now and with further bottle aging.
