Parker about Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese 2015
The 2015 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Spätlese has a clear and discreet, but very deep and elegant fruit aroma that indicates a cool smokiness of crushed stones. This Riesling is very clear, piquant and elegant on the palate, with a gorgeously lush fruit and lingering salinity and mineral grip. This is an excellent, well-concentrated and expressive terroir Riesling from the other Sonnenuhr. Now the Wehlener needs all its charms, because otherwise the Zeltinger is Prüm's Spätlese king in 2015.

Suckling over Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese 2015
Quite closed on the nose (some orange peel) and tightly wound on the palate. The racy acidity is an ideal counterpoint to the ripeness. Rather long, cool finish (with a hint of mint). A long term wine that will be better from 2019.

Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese 2015

The Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese 2016 from Joh. Jos. Prüm is a fascinating journey through the vineyards of the Moselle, which is particularly magnificently represented by this exceptional vintage.
In the glass, the wine displays a vibrant golden color, indicative of the ripeness of the grapes and the character of the Spätlese style. The bouquet is a veritable garden of aromas, led by ripe peaches, juicy apricots, and delicate citrus notes. A subtle mineral note and floral nuances contribute to the depth and complexity of this Riesling.
The true greatness of this wine is revealed on the palate. This late harvest wine presents an excellent balance between lively acidity and a finely balanced residual sweetness. The flavor palette is characterized by tropical fruits, honey, and a hint of spice. The mouthfeel is silky and elegant, while the finish is long and indulgent.
This Spätlese is not just a wine, but a declaration of love for the terroirs of the Zeltinger Sonnenuhr. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and vinified according to Joh. Jos. Prüm's traditional methods, resulting in a wine that captures the unique characteristics of the Mosel in every sip.
