Parker about Barbaresco Santo Stefano Riserva 1990
The 1990 Barbaresco Riserva Santo Stefano reveals gorgeous inner perfume in a soft, sensual style. Warm, open and generous, the wine shows superb balance, with a purity of fruit that powers through to the long, round finish. I have a slight preference for the 1989 here, but would be thrilled to own more of the 1990.

Barbaresco Santo Stefano Riserva 1990

Bruno Giacosa's Barolo Riserva Falletto 1989 is a legendary wine that embodies the essence of a classic Barolo at its finest. This vintage is often considered one of the region's finest, and the Falletto Riserva confirms this with its exceptional elegance and complexity.
On the nose, a complex bouquet unfolds with aromas of dried roses, tar, black cherries, and plums, accompanied by tertiary notes such as truffles, leather, tobacco, and damp forest floors. On the palate, the wine displays a perfect balance between power and finesse. The tannins are fine and superbly integrated, while the lively acidity emphasizes the structure and preserves freshness.
Aromas of dark fruits, herbs, and spices linger and unfold into a long, complex finish with mineral and earthy accents. This Barolo has achieved astonishing maturity, yet retains its aging potential, offering an impressive drinking experience that reflects the philosophy and artistry of Bruno Giacosa. A masterpiece for discerning connoisseurs.
