Produktbeschreibung

Château Rolland Mailett 2003

The 2003 Château Rolland-Maillet comes from Saint-Émilion, a vintage known for particularly ripe and concentrated wines thanks to its warm weather. This wine impresses with its dense structure, richness, and intense aromas, making the most of the hot year.

In the glass, the 2003 vintage displays a deep red, almost inky color, reflecting its concentration and intensity. The nose unfolds with a lush bouquet of ripe black fruits such as plums, black cherries, and blackberries, accompanied by subtle notes of violets, licorice, and a touch of cedarwood. Toasted aromas and hints of vanilla and chocolate, derived from the aging in oak barrels, lend the wine additional complexity and depth.

On the palate, the 2003 Château Rolland-Maillet is full-bodied and powerful, with a soft and velvety texture. The tannins are ripe and well-integrated, giving the wine wonderful richness and balance. Juicy fruit flavors dominate, complemented by spicy notes of cinnamon, pepper, and mocha. Despite the warmth of the vintage, the wine remains fresh and lively thanks to well-preserved acidity.

The finish is long and rich, characterized by dark fruits, spices, and subtle oak notes that fade away slowly. This wine is wonderfully ready to drink now, but still has enough structure to age for several more years in the bottle. It pairs perfectly with braised meat, lamb, or hearty game dishes.
