Parker about Château Suduiraut (0.375L) 2002
Shy and closed even with a time in the glass, the 2002 Suduiraut is more expressive on the palate with a medium-bodied, dense and satiny structure with racy acids that underline a gastronomic bitterness and aromas of dry apricot, quince, spices and ripe orchard fruits mingled with an oaky frame. This blend of 90% Sémillon and 10% Sémillon, picked between September 17 and November 5 in five tries, was matured for 16 months in oak barrels and has 133 grams of residual sugar.

Château Suduiraut (0.375L) 2002

Château Suduiraut 2002 is a classic Sauternes with an impressive balance of sweetness, acidity, and complexity. 2002 was a challenging year in Bordeaux, but thanks to careful selection and perfect management of botrytis, Château Suduiraut succeeded in producing a remarkable wine. On the nose, it displays intense aromas of dried apricots, honey, caramel, and exotic fruits, accompanied by delicate floral and spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is dense and concentrated, with elegant acidity that balances the sweetness and provides freshness. The texture is silky, with a long, lingering finish that reveals nuances of candied citrus, vanilla, and toasted almonds. Château Suduiraut 2002 is a magnificent Sauternes that will continue to evolve for many years to come, but already offers an impressive tasting experience.
