Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Kabinett 2023

The Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Kabinett 2023 from Van Volxem comes from the renowned Ockfener Bockstein vineyard, a famous vineyard on the Saar River with steep slate slopes that offer ideal conditions for Riesling. This Kabinett wine exemplifies an elegant balance of freshness, delicate fruit sweetness, and lively acidity. The 2023 vintage offers ripe aromas of peach, citrus, and green apple, accompanied by a subtle herbal spice. On the palate, the wine is light and playful, with a juicy interplay of sweetness and acidity and a pleasant minerality typical of this vineyard. The wine is an excellent accompaniment to Asian dishes, light appetizers, or as an aperitif. Van Volxem places great emphasis on precision and expressiveness in this Kabinett, which is reflected in the clear, pure style.
