Lots of delicious, juicy fruit with spices and berries. Medium to full body, affective, fresh and clean, but a little straightforward.

Papillon 2021

The 2021 Papillon by Orin Swift is a red wine from Napa Valley that impresses with its power and elegance. The blend is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. The wine aged for thirteen months in French oak barrels, 44 percent of which were new. On the nose, it displays complex aromas of boysenberry jam, chocolate-covered blueberries, violets, and brioche, complemented by subtle notes of graphite and orange peel. On the palate, it presents itself vibrantly with intense flavors of cassis, blackberries, and spices, embedded in a velvety texture with distinctive yet fine-grained tannins. The finish is long-lasting and characterized by mineral freshness.
