Parker about Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett Magnum 2022
The 2022 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett is clear, pure and flinty on the bright and fresh nose that offers clear and precise fruit intermingled with notes of crushed rocks, and it doesn't give any hint of drought stress. Full-bodied and lush, this is a textural and seriously persistent and mineral, digestible and food-friendly cabinet with remarkable complexity and length. This is impressive, particularly because of the challenging vintage heat and drought. It's very stimulating due to its saline and crunchy slate character. 9% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 24 23 in January 2025.

Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett Magnum 2022

The Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett from Joh. Jos. Prüm is the epitome of finesse and elegance. Delicate aromas of white peach, green pear, and citrus fruits unfold on the nose, accompanied by floral nuances and a subtle slate minerality. On the palate, the wine is playful and light-footed, with precise acidity that perfectly balances the delicate fruit sweetness. The texture is silky and elegant, with a dancing lightness that reflects the typical character of the Wehlener Sonnenuhr. The long, refreshing finish is characterized by juicy citrus fruit and a cool, mineral freshness. A classic Mosel Kabinett with great drinkability and excellent aging potential.
