Parker about Château Duhart-Milon 2003
A spectacular wine, and one that could have been bought for a song when it was released, this blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot was cropped at 33 hectoliters per hectare. Strutting all of its nobility, richness and majesty in 2014, it boasts abundant notes of cedarwood, creme de cassis, licorice and a hint of lead pencil shavings. Full-bodied, rich, dense and fully mature, it is capable of lasting another 7-10 years. This beauty is a big-time sleeper of the vintage.

Château Duhart-Milon 2003

Château Duhart-Milon 2003 is a wine that, despite the challenges of the vintage, remarkably captures the characteristics of its terroir in the Pauillac region of Bordeaux.
On the nose, this wine reveals an intense palette of aromas. Aromas of dark fruits such as cassis and blackberries are accompanied by spicy notes of tobacco, cedarwood, and a hint of black olive. Although the vintage was characterized by extreme weather conditions, the wine still displays a certain complexity and intensity in its aromas.
On the palate, Château Duhart-Milon 2003 presents itself with a powerful structure. The tannins are powerful yet ripe, giving the wine a robust texture. The fruit flavors are concentrated and generous, with a rich sweetness balanced by a balanced acidity. Nuances of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and a hint of graphite add depth and complexity to the wine.
The finish is powerful and long, with a touch of warmth and impressive persistence. Château Duhart-Milon 2003 may not be one of the winery's classic vintages, but it still offers an intense and impressive drinking experience, highlighting the winery's boldness and talent under challenging conditions.
