Wiltinger Gottesfuss Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese 2018

Trockenbeerenauslese refers to a special winemaking technique in which the grapes are fully ripened on the vine and selected by hand. This Auslese requires a certain amount of botrytis (noble rot), in which the grapes are overripe and partially infected with Botrytis cinerea. This results in concentrated, sweet, and intensely aromatic berries, which form the basis of this exceptional wine.
The Wiltinger Gottesfuss Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese 2018 impresses with a golden color that indicates its concentration and maturity. On the nose, it unfolds a captivating bouquet of exotic fruits such as ripe pineapple, peaches, apricots, and honey. These aromas are accompanied by notes of orange blossom, herbs, and a mineral presence.
On the palate, the wine presents itself with an opulent texture, a full-bodied finish, and a remarkable sweetness. The ripe fruit flavors continue, accompanied by a refreshing acidity balance that gives the wine fantastic balance. The mouthfeel is silky and creamy, and the finish is long and harmonious.
The Van Volxem Wiltinger Gottesfuss Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese 2018 is a wine for special occasions and pairs perfectly with hearty desserts such as crème brûlée, tarte tatin, or fruit tarts. It can also be enjoyed as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to spicy cheeses.
