Produktbeschreibung

Kiedrich Gräfenberg Riesling Ice Wine 2003

Robert Weil's 2003 Kiedrich Gräfenberg Riesling Eiswein is a truly spectacular wine, perfectly blending the winery's craftsmanship with the uniqueness of a vintage marked by extreme heat. Despite the hot summer, ideal frost conditions during the harvest ensured exceptional concentration and purity of aromas.

On the nose, the wine unfolds a highly intense bouquet of candied citrus fruits, ripe apricots, honey, and dried fruits such as raisins and figs. These are accompanied by delicate floral notes, a hint of spice, and a clear, mineral freshness reminiscent of wet slate.

On the palate, the ice wine reveals a breathtaking density and sweetness, perfectly balanced by electrifying acidity. The texture is almost syrupy, yet sustained by a lightness typical of great Riesling ice wines. The concentrated fruit—peaches, candied lime, and pineapple—is accompanied by a subtle, saline undertone that adds a fascinating dimension to the wine. The finish is endless, with vibrant freshness and a finish that harmoniously blends the mineral and fruity aspects.

This ice wine is not only a masterpiece of its vintage, but also a prime example of how an exceptional wine can be created even under challenging conditions. With its immense longevity, it will delight for decades and continue to gain in complexity.
