Das Weingut Maximin Grünhaus gehört zu den traditionsreichsten und bedeutendsten Weingütern Deutschlands. Seine Geschichte reicht bis in die römische Zeit zurück, als in der Region bereits Wein angebaut wurde. Erstmals urkundlich erwähnt wurde das Gut im Jahr 966, als es im Besitz der Abtei St. Maximin in Trier stand. Seit 1882 befindet sich das Weingut im Besitz der Familie von Schubert, die es heute in fünfter Generation mit großer Leidenschaft und Respekt vor der Tradition führt.
