Tedeschi's Amarone della Valpolicella Capitel Monte Olmi 1997 is a magnificent expression of a mature Amarone, boasting impressive depth, elegance, and complexity. On the nose, it unfolds fascinating aromas of ripe dark fruits such as dried cherries, plums, and black currants, accompanied by nuances of raisins, dark chocolate, and licorice. Added to this are spicy hints of cinnamon, tobacco, and black pepper, which blend harmoniously with balsamic and earthy notes. On the palate, the wine is powerful, with velvety yet present tannins that lend it structure and longevity.
