Parker about Grande Reserve 2021
Vinified in 500-liter tonneaux and a 1,600-liter oak vat for 30 months, the 2021 Grande Réserve is an assemblage of the finest vats of the domaine that were blended in May and bottled in late June. The wine is clear, refined and coolish on the nose and combines elegant and spicy fruit aromas with calcareous, coolish vegetal and iodine notes. Blending Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in more or less equal parts, this is a very elegant but concentrated and juicy-savory white wine blend with remarkable intensity, complexity and length. This is an excellent and unique, tight wine with a very long and stimulating saline and lemon-bitter finish. It's a superb wine for 2021. 13% stated alcohol. Screw cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in August 2024.

Suckling over Grande Reserve 2021
An astonishingly complex nose of exotic herbs and spices and an energy that's uncommon in this warm and ripe vintage. Stunning concentration and vitality, but also a fabulous interplay of flinty freshness and a precisely judged creaminess. The textural complexity at the very long finish is a joy to experience. A revolutionary cuvee of 60% sauvignon blanc and 40% chardonnay. Fermented and matured in a mix of small oak and one large neutral oak cask where it spent 30 months on the lees. Drink or hold.
