Suckling over Pinot Blanc "from limestone marl" 2022

Effusively fresh nose of crisp apple and pear with notes of snow peas and fine green beans. For a grape that can be so fruit-forward this has a lovely delicacy and subtlety in spite of the abundant freshness. Excellent balance on the bone dry palate that reveals a restrained creaminess after some aeration in the glass. Drink or hold. Screw cap. Stuart Pigott Senior Editor

Produktbeschreibung

Pinot Blanc "from limestone marl" 2022

This Pinot Blanc from limestone marl shines a pale gold with green hues and highlights. Roasted nuts, dried passion fruit, apricot, ripe apples, mango, raisins, and overripe banana dominate the nose, permeated by a delicate yeast brioche aroma. The palate is juicy and winey, with a variety of citrus aromas, hay notes, caramel, and a hint of dark chocolate. The finish is fiery, mineral, and profound.

Origin
This mineral-rich Pinot Blanc grows on limestone marl soil—a soil with a high lime content and good water retention capacity. The vines are over 25 years old.

Expansion
A small portion of this wine was aged in wooden barrels.
