Parker about Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse De Lalande 1987
The 1987 typifies Pichon-Lalande in its graceful, velvety texture, rich, cassis-scented and flavored fruit, medium body, and satiny finish. It is faithful to the style of wine sought by the chateau. Offering a fragrant, velvety mouthful of ruby-colored wine, it should drink well for another 2-4 years. It remains one of my favorite wines of the vintage, but it requires consumption.
