Parker about Frauenberg Riesling Grand Cru 2022
The intensely yellow-colored 2022 Nieder-Florsheim Frauenberg GG is from pure, calcareous soils and opens with a deep and chalky, lemony bouquet with notes of crushed stones, blueberry bushes. Round and refined on the palate, with fine, silky tannins and a smooth, chalky texture, this is a fabulous Frauenberg whose finish is still astringent and not singing but the potential is superb. It's a generous and substantial wine that should be drunk years from now. It will be released in spring of next year. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2023.

Suckling over Frauenberg Riesling Grand Cru 2022
Deep, cool and mysterious this beauty has underplayed mineral majesty. A wide spectrum of fine citrus and stone fruit aromas plus a whiff of smoke are married to super-elegant acidity on the generous, but extremely precise palate. Super fine and silky finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. Stuart Pigott Senior Editor

Oblivion has been brought back into the consciousness of wine lovers.
The exposed location of the Frauenberg gives it, despite its purely southern orientation
always cool winds, its surface consists of limestone gravel, the subsoil
is a solid limestone base. The vines have deep roots in the hard,
mineral-rich soil. This makes them self-sufficient and allows for long, healthy
Vegetation periods even in extreme years. The wines of Frauenberg
are harvested by hand after strict selection, fermented spontaneously and
Matured in single barrels. Bright straw yellow with brilliant reflections
and silver rim. Almost monolithic, the Frauenberg rests in
of youth rather a sketch than a precisely contoured self-portrait. Stony and

and apple peels are brightened by fresh herbs such as chervil and
Cucumber peel. Summing up distinctive dark aromas and smoky
Its overtones are precise and disciplined on the palate. It builds sinewy and taut

It clearly calls for a decanter and a few years of bottle aging.
The Frauenberg is a highly mineral wine with a great affinity to the fine

are excellent sparring partners.
